Jeep’s Renegade Hard Steel concept made its debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.
Based on the Trailhawk and modified by Mopar, the exterior is composed of a “Brush Steel” finish and is contrasted by some matte black features including the grille, roof bars, mirror covers as well as the fender and bumper. To appeal to its off-road riders, the little ute sits on two pairs of 16-inch alloys, has BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires and a slightly raised suspension.
The interior holds similar aesthetic treatments. The frames of the air conditioning vents, speakers, gearbox and glove compartment is also covered in the metal finish.
The Hard Steel also has a two-wheeled trailer attached, which houses a TV screen linked to Jeep’s new Connect Live infotainment system. This tech, soon to debut on the Renegade, will give drivers access to news, real-time traffic, streaming radio and social networking apps.
