The legendary British automaker Rolls-Royce has confirmed that they are working on a new model that will arrive around mid-2016. It is suggested that the new vehicle will likely be the Wraith Drophead Coupe.
“The car will build on the success of Phantom, Ghost and Wraith by continuing to boldy shape the future of the marque with contemporary, graceful and sensuous styling,” Rolls-Royce said. The automaker has always delivered an excellent combination of luxury, style and elegance with their vehicles and this new car should be no exception.
The open-top variant for the Wraith was quickly thought of after the hardtop version was announced in 2013. The Drophead is expected to share the same twin-turbocharged V12 mill, which will send 624 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos added that Rolls-Royce is currently “developing an exciting and thoroughly contemporary interpretation of a pinnacle drophead tourer which will introduce even more discerning men and women to Rolls-Royce ownership,”
