The Volvo XC 60 has been a popular choice among European customers and after 9 years of success, it is receiving a refreshed look and new safety features. The new Volvo XC60
For 2018, the XC 60 adopts the design language from the rest of the Volvo lineup. This includes iconic front and rear LED tail lights mimicking the S90 and V90, respectively. The body style remains similar to the previous generation in terms of proportions and at certain angles reflects styling from its larger sibling, the XC 90. A choice of trim lines is also available including an R-design variant featuring sportier curves and exterior touches. The new Volvo XC60

The interior retains its Scandinavian, minimalistic and modern design. Seats appear to be well sculpted with the entire cabin being oriented around the comfort and safety of occupants. A large in-dash infotainment system, reminiscent of the unit in the S90, allows the driver and passenger to control climate, radio and access Volvo Sensus, the company’s in-car connected services; with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity available. The new Volvo XC60

New for this year, Volvo’s highly praised T8 Twin Engine will be available under the hood. This engine is the top-of-the-line choice featuring hybrid plug-in, gas technology that helps achieve 407HP while delivering the ultimate efficiency. Lower in the powertrain department are the choices of a diesel, T5 or T6 engine each offering unique power outputs and efficiency. The notable of the options is the T6 which features both a Turbo- and Supercharger helping achieve 320HP and close to 300lb.-ft of torque. The new Volvo XC60

Maintaining Volvo’s virtue of safety, the company claims that the XC 60 is one of the safest cars ever made. This new generation will feature Steer Assist which will be added to and work alongside its suite of other safety features. This technology will be used in conjunction with a new system called Oncoming Lane Mitigation to help mitigate head-on collisions, as well as its Blind Spot system to help reduce the risk of lane changing accidents. The new Volvo XC60

The XC 60 will be made in Sweden starting in mid-April.
