The 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S will continue to be offered in both coupe and cabriolet variants. The body style will remain identifiable as Porsche with slight updates to the front and rear fascias. Both models will be powered by the 3.8 liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder, with the Turbo model producing 540HP (20HP more than last years) and the Turbo S upping this with 580HP.  These gains are due to modified intake ports, fuel injectors, higher fuel pressure combined with new, larger turbochargers. Increased power has resulted in better performance figures, cutting 0-60mph times by 0.1 seconds and increasing the top speeds of both models.

Keeping the power gains in mind, Porsche has also managed to squeeze better fuel economy out of its 2017 Turbo models. Although no EPA numbers have been released yet, the use of electronic engine and transmission management with revised gear change mappings are claimed to reduce fuel consumption.

A notable change to the interior is the standard offering of the Sport Chrono Package. This includes a 918 Spyder-like steering wheel, with integrated driver functions to adjust the driving characteristics of the vehicle. The Turbo and Turbo S also include Porsche’s updated infotainment system, which brings a number of features to the table, including a 7-inch glass multi-touch screen with real-time navigation from Google. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth or cable connect to link your phone with the vehicle.
