The 2015 Mercedes-Benz SL400 has an inner demon, a twin-turbo V6. The SL 400 is essentially replacing the SL350, and shares horsepower with the E400. Both, the E400 and SL400 share the same engine, a 3.0-litre V6 good for 328 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Replacing the SL350, the SL400 will gain about 26 horsepower and 81 pound-feet of torque more.

Mercedes has decided to pair the V6 engine with a seven-speed transmission. The car will be able to jump from a stop to nearly 100 kilometres per hour in just 5.2 seconds. The SL350 was not offered in North America, the SL550 was the entry-level option available. However, with that being said, it is still not clear if the North American market will get the SL400.
