Mercedes' "Sensual Purity" philosophy rings true with the sleek 2017 Mercedes E-Class.
The stylish 2017 Mercedes E-Class has made its first appearance at Detroit’s North American International Autoshow.
The four-door’s strong front end features Mercedes’ classes radiator grille with the star on the bonnet. The E-Class also has multi beam LED headlights and single-piece tail lights with a two-bar design.
The sedan will be available with two different engine choices at market launch: the E 200 with a four-cylinder gasoline engine, topping up at 184 horsepower, and the E 200 d will have an all-new four-cylinder diesel engine which will deliver just under 200 horsepower. The E 350 e plug-in hybrid will be added after market launch and will be powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine along with an electric motor. The E 350 e will have an output of 279 horsepower and can 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. All models come standard with the 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission.
Able to seat five, the interior is comfortable yet sexy, just as you’d expect a Mercedes to be. The wheelbase has lengthened by 65 millimetres, giving riders a little bit more legroom. The doors are wrapped in shades of soft brown leather including nut and saddle, and the ambient light is available in 64 different colours to get the mood just right. The seats are refined yet sporty and the centre armrest has a storage box as well as two pop-out drink holders.
To keep you and your family safe, the 2017 E-Class is equipped with standard Active Brake Assist as well as Attention Assist. The optional Driver Assistance package includes Mercedes’ Drive Pilot, Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function, Evasive Steering Assist as well as Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
The E-Class is set to hit the sales floor mid-2016.
