Practicality meets fun with the all-new 2016 Range Rover Convertible Evoque.
Land Rover has recently unveiled its first compact convertible SUV, the 2016 Range Rover Evoque Convertible, in King’s Cross, London.
The fully-automated roof folds back in a Z-formation in 18 seconds and can be fully raised in 21 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. Under the hood sits a turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with standard all-wheel drive, pumping out 240 horsepower.
“The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is a vehicle for all seasons. Its uniquely distinctive design and world-class engineering adds another dimension to the Range Rover family, further enhancing its desirability and appeal.” said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer.
The four-seater is available with SE Dynamic or HSE Dynamic specifications. Both contain a deeper, more aggressive front bumper and enlarged air intakes. Six different wheel designs ranging from 18- to 20 inches are available, including two brand new finishes for the 20-inch wheels : Polished and Satin Black. The SE Dynamic trim level includes having the fender, grille and fog lights in a Brunel Silver finish. HSE Dynamic models receive components finished in premium Narvik Black and gloss-black hood vents.
To make your Evoque stand out from the rest, bright-finish running boards, carbon fiber side vents, hood vents and mirror covers and stylized valve caps are all available. The 2016 Evoque has 251-litres of luggage space (with the roof open or closed) as well as an available ski hatch option to facilitate loading.
Inside, the Evoque has a 10.2 inch touch screech, debuting the Jaguar Land Rover InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. This system offers smartphone integration and is available with Wi-Fi connectivity, door-to-door-navigation and a premium sound system.
The 2016 Evoque will be produced at the Land Rover Halewood plant in the UK and will go on same in Spring of 2016.
