Comment on Second Look: 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage by Mirage Forum https://doubleclutch.ca/2014/02/06/2014-mitsubishi-mirage/comment-page-1/#comment-59911 Thu, 06 Feb 2014 18:31:00 +0000 https://doubleclutch.ca/?p=11939#comment-59911 Nice balanced review.

Did you also get a chance to try the 5-speed? Despite the CVT’s better fuel economy rating, I was able to do better with the 5MT on a head-to-head urban driving loop, without using any “extreme” hypermiling techniques. On the open road, though, I suspect the CVT would probably win out due to much lower cruising RPM.

Comment on 2014 Toyota 4Runner Limited by Guest https://doubleclutch.ca/2013/12/23/2014-toyota-4runner-limited/comment-page-1/#comment-59903 Wed, 29 Jan 2014 22:35:00 +0000 https://doubleclutch.ca/?p=10636#comment-59903 My 2013 4runner gets 16.5l/km combined winter driving in 2wd and with the eco light on most of the time. Takes forever to warm up the engine and as stated in this article, in -20c its barely warm with the heat on max setting……..Overrated Junk!

Comment on 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage SE by Joe Schmoeltinsky https://doubleclutch.ca/2014/01/14/2014-mitsubishi-mirage-se/comment-page-1/#comment-59893 Wed, 15 Jan 2014 18:10:00 +0000 https://doubleclutch.ca/?p=11238#comment-59893 That was a nicely balanced review of a transportation pod which is decidedly not designed for enthusiasts … unless geting great fuel economy is something to be enthusiastic about (which for some people, admittedly it is).

Why Mitsu didn’t button down the suspension a bit more, though, is odd. It’s the number one complaint in most reviews, and it really wouldn’t have cost them any more to (at the very least) spec a spring rate to make for less spongy road manners for some markets.

Comment on 2014 Jaguar F-Type V6S by Julie https://doubleclutch.ca/2013/09/24/2014-jaguar-f-type-v6s/comment-page-1/#comment-59726 Wed, 25 Sep 2013 03:28:00 +0000 https://doubleclutch.ca/?p=8834#comment-59726 Another enjoyable review. I thought the car costs notably more than that, given how it sounds! Interesting that it has other attributes as well, such as a great transmission and terrific fuel economy. – Julie (from the Canadian forum)

Can’t argue with their reliability, safety record and resale value. I only wish our Canadian prices could be more inline with the US ones.

Comment on First Drive: 2014 Acura RLX & 2014 Acura MDX by Don https://doubleclutch.ca/2013/06/11/first-drive-2014-acura-rlx-2014-acura-mdx/comment-page-1/#comment-59590 Thu, 13 Jun 2013 23:18:00 +0000 https://doubleclutch.ca/?p=6494#comment-59590 During the RLX test drive I completely forgot that it was FWD. It was completely balanced and put the power to the road without torque steer even at full throttle between the pylons. This was a great event and kudos to Acura for sponsoring it.
