The Porsche 911 lineup is growing for 2026, with three variants bringing back a familiar nameplate.
The 4S trim returns, bringing all-wheel-drive to the lower end of the 911 lineup. It features the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six as as the rest of the Carrera S lineup, good for 473 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission you can opt for; Porsche says this powertrain combo is good for a zero-to-100 km/h sprint in as little as 3.5 seconds.
Porsche also says the Carrera 4S models’ all-wheel-drive system will still power the rear wheels by default, using a water-cooled front diff and electronically controlled clutch to meter power between both ends as necessary. The new 4S models also receive upgraded bits that used to be exclusive to the GTS, including their beefier brakes, retuned dampers, and the more vocal sport exhaust system.
The 4S trimmings will be available on the 911 coupe, cabriolet, and Targa. Canadian pricing starts at $173,400 for the Carrera 4S coupe, and deliveries will begin later this year. Oh, and they’re already on the configurator, so have fun burning the next few hours.
