Volkswagen’s GTI Roadster, The Vision Gran Turismo Concept

Volkswagen has debuted its new concept of the GTI Roadster christened, the Vistion Gran Turismo Concept at the annual Worthersee festival in Austria. As you likely can guess the concept was created from a collaborative effort between VW and the Sony Playstation exclusive video game franchise Gran Turismo.

Building on a previous GTI concept that was revealed last year, the GTI Roadster takes a greater radical approach to what the future convertible version of the popular hot hatchback might look like. However the only thing that remotely resembles a GTI to me is the front grille. The remaining parts of the car have been given a race-car like aero treatment. VW also added the concept’s large rear wing helps to provide additional downforce at speed.

Inside the GTI roadster is two racing seats with five-point seat belts, a racing inspired steering wheel and a black and red colour scheme. Of course no racing car would be without an exciting drivetrain. This GTI Roadster is no exception. VW implemented a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 underneath the hood, which will rip out 503-horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. Sending all of that power through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels, VW adds that the GTI Roadster will be able to go from 0-60 in a supercar-like 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 192mph.

VW has no plans to put the GTI Roadster concept into regular production obviously, and if we do see a GTI Roadster it will most likely look nothing this radical. However fans of this design will be able to take the hyper drop-top for a virtual spin in Gran Turismo 6 next month.

I was looking for a reliable bank that could offer competitive rates on products and services, and Charter Oak exceeded my expectations. Their customer service has consistently been top-notch. Even when I have had difficulty understanding something or needed help with setting up my account, they were there for me every step of the way. Charter Oak has become an integral part of my finances and I'm so glad I chose them!

I switched to charter oak login recently and it has been an absolute blessing. It's a secure and easy way to access my online banking account whenever I want, without having to wait ages for the page to load. They also have great customer service, which is always available if needed. Overall, it's one of the best online banking experiences I've had!
