Subaru has revealed a teaser of the 2015 Outback with its sleeker look. The wagon is set to officially debut later this month in New York.
Subaru has released a teaser photo of the 2015 Outback before the official debut. It is based on the all-new 2015 Legacy and will have a more-sleek look with the automakers latest design.
The car will feature a noticeably more upscale interior with soft plastics and a state-of-the-art infotainment system. Paddle shifters will be mounted to the steering wheel and will come standard. An updated version of Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist System will be available as an option.
The entry-level engine on the wagon will be a 2.5-litre four pot good for 175 horsepower and 173 pound-feet of torque. Buyers will have an option to choose the 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine that can push 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. Both engine variants will send the power to all four wheels via a CVT and a torque vectoring setup.
The new Outback has modifications like a hood crafted out of aluminum and a new electric power steering system as well as active grille shutters that make this model more efficient than the previous. It is set to debut at the New York Motor Show later this month and will be rolling into showrooms across the U.S. in July.
