Twice the funRenault's latest addition was built to play with
Renault has unveiled a follow up to the Twin’Run called the Twin’Z. The smooth blue hatch is reminiscent of the Renault R5 Turbo and Clio V6 and is the other side of the ‘play’ theme in the company’s 6-stage exploration of life modelled through its cars.
With a steel, tubular chassis for the structure and a 3.5L V6 producing 320 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque shifted through a 6-speed sequential transmission, the Twin’Run has us excited. To keep the city-car stable on its 18″ wheels, the fuel tank, radiator and hydraulics sytem are found in the front resulting in a 43/57 front-t0-rear weight balance.
At 2,090 LBS, the body is a mix of glass and carbon fiber with the square-style headlights and quad lights reflective of the R5 Turbo rally. The inside is made up of black and red Alcantara with a gauge cluster in white lacquer and aluminum pedels which are said to be have been motorsport tested.
