After a couple booming years at Jeep, a report on the Chrysler Communications Facebook page has confirmed that the one-millionth Wrangler JK rolled out road-ready from the company’s Toledo assembly plant around lunch time on Friday.

Launched in the 2007 model year, the JK Jeep Wrangler has been an ongoing success for a number of reasons, including a greater than ever number of trim levels, two-door and four-door Unlimited models, as well as the popular off-roading Rubicon packages. Of course the record sales Jeep saw in 2012 weren’t purely due to an abundance of choice, the 3.6 L Pentastar V6 engine most likely sweetened the deal for fans of the automaker as well.

Although the millionth addition to the JK family is certainly the news of the day it’s doubtful Jeep plans to stop there- with the likely addition of a diesel engine in the 2015 model refresh, Jeep may just have its eyes set on a few more years of record sales.
