McLaren P1 at the top of the board after being rumoured to lap Nurburgring in about 6:47.
The McLaren P1 may have the fastest lap time at Germany’s Nurburgring racetrack. Right now, the Porsche 918 Spyder is at the top of the totem pole with a lap time of 6:57. According to Autocar UK, the P1 can lap the track in ‘well under’ the rumoured time of 6:47. Although the time has not been confirmed, Autocar’s review suggests the P1 can lap Nurburgirng around 6:30!
The P1 has a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8, which pushes 727 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. It gets another 176hp and 192lb.-ft. of torque from a mated electric Kinetic Engine Recovery System. There is no wonder that the P1 has a rumoured time of 6:47 because when all said and done, it has 903hp and 664lb.-ft. of torque.
