When life gives you speedbumps... The open road, sun shining brightly, the wind in your hair- it’s only a cliche worth correcting if you can actually get your car on the road.
The open road, sun shining brightly, the wind in your hair- it’s only a cliche worth correcting if you can actually get your car on the road. That’s just the problem that Rune Berge Vik, of Stavanger, Norway had, when in his own neighbourhood his newly purchased Lexus LFA came face to face with its natural predator- a rather unmanageable speed bump.
Of course Vik didn’t go to all that trouble just to ogle his new supercar as a commendable and particularly expensive showpiece, so instead he went to his local government. His efforts were worth it in the end, as the city removed the speed bump that the LFA was unable to manage from his neighbourhood shortly thereafter.
I think at this point the conversation can go in one of two directions: a debate about whether any street legal car (despite its arguably excessive luxurious components) should have the right to access all public roads, or the fact that this guy clearly deserves a pat on the back for using the LFA as a daily driver. I’ll take the latter.
