Move over Gallardo! The new Lamborghini Huracan makes her debut.
The latest automotive masterpiece to come from supercar master Lamborghini, are starting to make their appearances around the globe. The Gallardo‘s replacement looks like a baby Aventador. It has similar lines and a significantly comparable body shape, but with an end result that looks like an Aventador was squished a tiny bit – in a vice grip. The new Huracan has been seen in a variety of Skittles-like colours such as; Green, yellow, white, black, and now a really hot looking shade of orange. One of Lamborghini’s has a knack for having some of the most eccentric and iconic paint options available for their supercars. Period.
Spotted earlier this week was a fantastic looking orange Huracan
The ‘Huracan’ which is Spanish for, yep you guessed it, ‘Hurricane’ — boasts a 5.2-liter Audi v-10 that will pump 610 horsepower to all four wheels. This is a significant increase to the outgoing Gallardo LP 550-2 with (550-hp) as well as the LP 570-4 (570-hp) Gallardo Squadra Corse. This increase will give the Huracan a 0-62 mph time of 3.2 seconds. (No idea why they did a 0-62 test) so I’ll just assume it’s 0-60 time is around the same mark. Putting all that power to the ground is a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that demands you shift before the 8,250 rpm redline.
The car will be making its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Woo! I cannot wait.
