Far and away from the original compact little city dweller that they are best known for, Fiat has recently released the details for a new incredibly spacious seven-seater model that they hope will take them to the next level of style and efficiency.
Dubbed the Fiat 500 MPW, the new vehicle comes in at 435 cm long and 178 cm wide, making it around the size of a Mercedes B-Class, and just shy of a Ford Grand C-Max. That’s not all- Fiat has promised a potential trunk space of well over a half-metre cubed, improving greatly on the space of their earlier 500 models.
The 500 MPW has a lot to offer in options under the hood as well, including the choice between two gasoline, and two diesel engines. The gasoline engines offered are a 1.3-L turbo and 0.9-L TwinAir Turbo, which come out at 95 bhp and 105 bhp respectively. The diesels are offered in the form of a 1.3 and 1.6 turbodiesel, coming in at 85 bhp and 105bhp respectively.
Additional options for the MPW include two trim-levels, “Pop Star,” and “Lounge,” with 19 body colours, 6 interior trims, and 15 types of alloy wheels. Leather interior, satellite navigation, and backup cameras will also be available in the new model, but as of yet there is no confirmation on whether these features will be standard.
With all the combinations, features, and new space involved, Fiat figures there’s a little bit of something for everyone in the MPW. Whether it’s the extra space, attention to design, or the functionality and efficiency that the brand is known for, Fiat believes it has all its bases covered with the new 500 MPW.
