Bentley's new SUV will have a top speed of 200 mph with the automakers new design chief reworking the EXP 9F to incorporate the speed.
Bentley is planning on getting faster with their SUV. After a recent teaser, more details are being revealed and according to Autocar UK, the SUV is said to be aiming for a top speed of 200mph, which is about 321 kilometres per hour. The SUV will be released in 2016.
The EXP 9F, which first debuted in Geneva in 2012, has been in the production process for about a year, but a large amount of that has been towards a fundamental redesign. Because of the EXP 9F’s boxy proportions, Bentley’s new design chief, Luc Donckerwolke is working to redesign it. With the top speed in mind, Donckerwolke is reworking the SUV so it will have a smoother rear end, a lower roofline and underbody aerodynamics.
The powertrain details have not been announced yet.
