Infiniti Q50 Boasts Most Successful Pre-Sale in Company History Although the release of the Q50 is still nearly a month away, Infiniti has already received 3,650 orders for the model through a pre-sale program that was announced earlier this year, greatly exceeding the company's own expectations.
Infiniti has announced that it’s all-new 2014 sedan, the Q50, will arrive in dealer showrooms on August 5.
The Q50 will replace the G37 in the Infiniti lineup, with a number of similarities brought over from its predecessor, including a rear-wheel drive platform and a 3.7 L V6 engine that puts out 328 horsepower. Infiniti is also offering a hybrid version of the new model, equipped with a 3.5 L V6 that will put out an impressive total of 360 horsepower.
Rear-wheel drive will come standard on both the Q50 and Q50 Hybrid models, with Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive available on both as an extra.
With a price tag starting at $36,700, Infiniti expects the Q50 to compete well with the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, with encouraging figures already on record. Although the release of the Q50 is still nearly a month away, Infiniti has already received 3,650 orders for the model through a pre-sale program that was announced earlier this year, greatly exceeding the company’s own expectations.
Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore called the pre-sale, “The most successful such program in Infiniti history,” noting that there has been “exceptional interest in this stunningly designed Q50 and its breakthrough performance technologies.”
