Half Way Through the FORMULA 1 Season
By Jack Zapper
The season for Formula 1 2009 is already half way through. The series of races popularly known as Grand Prix have concluded the race schedule up till June on the world circuits on easy and difficult terrain of the world. It began from Australia; the day acclaimed the technical power of vehicle Brawns. Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello both at the wheels of Brawn registered first and second position respectively thrilling the hard core fans.
The torrential rains in Malaysia accompanied by dim light suspended the game at 31 laps instead of the total of 56 laps; only half a point was awarded as per the rules of F1. For Janson Button of Australia it was a second victory of the season. His race strategy worked wonders.
In China the regulations laid by Toyota, Williams and Brawn GP were applicable. Many winners of the previous race were seen trailing behind as those who used diffuser in the cars benefited by improved pace to surge ahead. Vettel scored a second win in this Red Bull Racing.
In Bahrain it was obvious that the Vettel was the main challenger to Brawns; they concluded ahead of Brawns. Toyotas failed to meet the expectations by achieving puny success. Himilton was the first winner followed by Vettel and Toyota at the third position.
The racer reassembled again in the European city of Spain. The victory predictably went to Button and his Brawns with Vettel not far behind at the second position.
At Monaco Button won to the dismay of his rivals, Raikkonen was not far behind as the second winner. Monaco tracks curtail the speed of the racer; the track is narrow, bumpy and over taking almost impossible.
The racers took part in the Turkey Grand Prix. The crowds were really disappointing, Only 32 000 people were in the stands for sundays race. Ecclestones gamble to replace Montreal with Turkey was a real disaster. Yet again. Button proved to be too strong and cruised to an eay win on his Brawn. Teams will be far pressed to catch up the the rookie team. This one seems in the bag for Button.
