Press Images of the 2015 M3/M4BMW's latest M3/M4 is almost here
Just ahead of next month’s official release of the 2015 BMW M3 and M4 (thank the stars that the M3 moniker isn’t disappearing anytime soon), BMW has leaked a few images showing off the 4 door and 2 door variants of the newest M car.
Though we’ve had M package options from the manufacturer which dropped hints on what the next M3 and 2 door variant M4 will look like, this is the first time we’ve gotten our hands on official press images of what the car will look like ahead of its January Detroit unveiling.
Just like the outgoing M3, the new model will have a subtle “power” dome on the hood and the requisite front strakes in addition to ample M3/M4 badges to remind the casual onlooker that this isn’t your average 3/4-series. Inside, the interior is swathed with the usual M division adornments such as a new steering wheel and heavily bolstered seats to keep the sideways action going. Carbon Fiber trim is also available as an option.
Changes to the car aren’t strictly cosmetic though, with a 6 cylinder twin turbocharged motor replacing the 8 cylinder in the outgoing model. Power output hovers around the 430 hp mark. Translating all that power into forward (or sideways) movement will be the choice of a row your own 6 speed or BMWs dual clutch automatic transmission. Stay tuned for more details next month when the car is officially launched at the Detroit autoshow.
